Navy Tech

For the 250th Anniversary of the Navy, we decided to do an exhibit that focused on technology. In this exhibition, you will see technology old and new, small and large; from sailing ships to satellites, from pocket calculators to aircraft carriers. I feel that knowing the history of Naval technology is essential to knowing the history of the Navy itself.

To reflect the dedication to this theme, the gallery is constructed to recall the engineering spaces of a Navy vessel. You will see piping for jet fuel and fire mains, exposed cabling, exhibit cases that evoke electrical equipment, and an overhead mural that recalls the jumbled, messy view sailors see whenever they look up.
